Video footage has emerged of the heart-stopping moment a car travelled through a red light and overturned a Transit van.
A court heard how Maxine Wynter crashed her Renault Megane into the yellow high top Ford Transit van after missing the signal to stop during the morning crash in Salford, Greater Manchester.
The crash caused the van to roll over and land on its side - but miraculously nobody was injured in the incident.
The van driver had to climb through the front windscreen after the truck overturned and ended up landing against railings.
Footage from the incident, which happened at around 10am on July 22, shows how the crash unfolded at the junction of Lower Broughton Road and Camp Street.
Wynter, of Wortley Avenue in Salford, pleaded guilty to driving without due care and was handed a fine and five points on her licence during a hearing at Manchester Magistrates’ Court on August 15.
Wynter, 31, was landed with a fine for £225, as well as a victim surcharge of £30 and court costs of £85.
Speaking after the case, PC Paul Ashworth from the specialist road policing team at GMP, said:
