A man and a woman have been arrested on suspicion of assault after a man who fell from a balcony in Liverpool died.
Emergency services were called to Colquitt Street at 7.30pm on Sunday by a passer-by reporting they had found man who they believed had fallen from an upper storey balcony of an apartment block.
The man, in his 30s, was taken to hospital with serious head injuries, but died a short time later.
A 26-year-old woman from Netherton and a 30-year-old man from Litherland have been arrested on suspicion of assault and possession of controlled drugs and have both been taken to a police station for questioning by detectives.
