A five-year-old boy is in a critical condition after a he was hit by a car in Salford.

Police say the collision happened on Stern Avenue, Ordsall, on Saturday evening, October 7.

The boy was taken to hospital where he remains in a life-threatening condition.

A police investigation is ongoing. No arrests have been made.

This is a tragic incident that has left a young boy in a critical condition in hospital, and our thoughts are with his family and we have specially-trained officers supporting them.
