Many areas will be dry midweek, albeit rather cloudy and on the cool side of average.

Low pressure takes charge by the end of Thursday, bringing a cloudy and damp end to the week and perhaps a stormy start to the weekend.

WEDNESDAY:

Some patchy rain in the south for a time on Wednesday, most likely over the High Peak. Otherwise generally dry but rather cloudy for all with light southerly winds. Cooler highs of 14°C.

OUTLOOK:

Feeling cooler than of late.

Wet and windy weather arriving from west later on Thursday after a dry start with mist and fog but maybe even some brightness to begin.

Rain continues into Friday before easing. Further strong winds and showery rain arrive on Saturday.
