This week is certainly a lot quieter, and milder, compared to last week!
Temperatures will now be back up to the average by day for early March (between 5-8C) but under clearer skies - and with relatively light winds - nights will be chilly with patchy frost and fog developing in rural locations.
A mix of sunshine and showers is expected Wednesday and Thursday. These showers could be heavy at times but drier and brighter slots will come and go in-between.
Friday will perhaps be bright rather than sunny as cloud approaches from the southwest through the afternoon.
Rain then approaching overnight could bring a transient spell of sleet and hill snow into Saturday morning, but this would be nothing like what we experienced last week and by Saturday afternoon - under cloudy and pretty wet conditions across the northwest - highs could reach into double figures.
