Settled weather continues across the northwest for the next few days.

As humidity rises from the south of the UK there's an increased risk of showery downpours by the end of the week - but conditions at this stage look set to improve as we head into the weekend....

WEDNESDAY:

Low cloud in the east will clear through the morning, with plenty of sunshine through the day. Light winds and feeling very warm. Highs to 24°C.

THURSDAY & FRIDAY:

The risk of thunderstorms will return in the far south of the region on Thursday and more widely on Friday.

WEEKEND

The Bank Holiday weekend at this stage looks mainly dry and fine for the northwest.

It will stay very warm, if not hot, but mist and fog will be possible by night.
