It’s time to hunt out that military memorabilia, dusty medals from your lofts, and those faded black and white photos of loved ones and relatives who fought during the Great War.

The ITV Granada Reports WW1 Roadshow rolls into the world famous Bury Market on Wednesday 17 October at 9am.

To mark the 100 th anniversary of the end of World War 1, Granada Reports reporter Paul Crone, a camera crew and a team of historical experts will be on hand at Bury Market.

The team wants anyone with photos and medals of relatives who fought, died or survived from 1914-1918 to come down to the market with their mementos and stories, as part of a special report to be shown on Granada Reports.

And don’t worry if you haven’t got exact information about the regiment or where your relative may have died or been buried on the Western Front.

Experts from the nearby Fusilier Museum in Bury will be present to help solve any 100-year-old mysteries.

ITV’s Paul Crone said:

We are so excited to come to Bury Market and meet people whose relatives from our region fought so bravely in France, Belgium and beyond.

We’re so grateful to Andrew Heyes and his team from the Market for helping us with our one-off roadshow. We’ve no idea how many people will come along or the stories they may have…but that’s half the excitement of it all!

– Paul Crone

Croney and his team, including experts Sarah Stevenson and Phil Mather from the Fusilier Museum will be at Bury Market from 9am till midday on Wednesday, October 17.

Bury Market is very easy to find - click here for directions.
