Selling your house in Liverpool will take longer than almost anywhere else in the UK. A new survey by the Post Office found that it takes almost three months to complete a house sale.
The average house sale in the UK takes 96 days. In Liverpool its 112, with only Belfast taking longer for a sale to go through.

- First impressions are key, so make sure the property looks well-maintained and cared for from the outside.
- Anything too personalised can be a turn-off, so keeping colours neutral can help.
3. Clear your garden of any litter and make sure the lawn is mowed, leaves are raked away, weeds are removed and overgrown trees are cut back.
4. Giving your kitchen a quick freshen-up is a cost-effective way to improve the appearance of your home.
The north west has more than 150 thousand families who're classed as fuel poor. The charity National Energy Action says many people will not have the cash to meet basic living expenses as winter begins to bite. It says that families in fuel poverty are facing an income shortfall of up to £9000 per year.
The report also warns many low-income and vulnerable consumers who miss out on current support such as the Warm Home Discount will not currently benefit from the proposed safeguard price cap for vulnerable customers this winter.
