Southport's success

The seaside town of Southport says it's enjoying a bumper time for tourism. Nearly nine million people visited the resort last year, a four per cent increase on the previous 12 months. Altogether it meant a boost of more than £500 million.

Fall in the number of babies born on Isle of Man

The latest census results reveal that the number of babies born in the Isle of Man has fallen to its lowest level in 30 years.

Figures also show, the amount of deaths continues to out number births.

Analysts say it's already having a noticeable impact on the Manx economy. Paul Craine is author of the book - "IOM Population Atlas".

Huge queues across Manchester for the sales this morning

Hundreds of people were queuing to get into high street stores in Manchester and at the Trafford Centre this morning.

Some had even camped overnight in order to be one of the first people in the stores.
