A list of councils with employees being paid more than a hundred thousand pounds has been published today. Three of the North West's councils feature in the top ten.

Six councils in the North West feature on the Taxpayers' Alliance list of those with more than 20 staff earning more than £100,000 a year. They are:
- Warrington (34 people)
- Liverpool (28 people)
- Manchester (28 people)
- Stockport (25 people)
- Cheshire West and Chester (22 people)
- Oldham (20 people)

A list of councils with employees being paid more than £100,000 has been published today.
The Taxpayers' Alliance say Warrington has the most in the North West with 34 people. Liverpool and Manchester also top the list, both having 28.
