A schoolboy who was shot in the face by an airgun has been told he may never smile again. Jordan Winstanley, 13, was shot by a gunman hiding in bushes.

Mum of boy shot in the face 'mortified'
Jordan Winstanley's mum, Michelle Bleakley, told ITV Granada: "I felt sick. I felt faint. I wanted to get up to the hospital as soon as, because I found out he went to the hospital on his own. Just pure fear - not knowing what extent his injury was until I got up there."
The pellet became embedded deep inside his cheek and may have caused permanent nerve damage

Jordan Winstanley, 13, has been told a pellet fired from an airgun may have severed nerves in his cheek.
He collapsed after being shot on land near to Hall Lee Bank Park, Westhoughton. Blood was pouring from the wound in his face.
