Jaguar Land Rover to create 300 new jobs in Ellesmere Port
Car maker Jaguar Land Rover says it will create 300 new jobs at a logistics facility in Ellesmere Port. It says it will also spend an extra £1billion with suppliers on the back of demand for the Evoque, which is made on Merseyside.
Leader welcomes Jaguar jobs boost
Political leaders in Ellesmere Port have welcomed news that Jaguar Land Rover are to create 300 new jobs in the town.
– Mike Jones, leader Cheshire West and Cheshire Council“This is tremendous news for Ellesmere Port and will continue the town’s long partnership with the automotive industry.
“We have moved heaven and earth to help make this happen and I understand the company were delighted with the quality of service we have been able to offer.
“Today’s announcement shows that Ellesmere Port is open for business in a big way – and we are hoping for similar announcements in the near future. We have the sites, the workforce and a first class transport network.”

They are being created on the back of the success of the new Evoque model, which is made on Merseyside.
The firm also plans to spend an extra £1billion with suppliers over the next four years.
