Olympic flame leaves Liverpool for the Isle of Man
The Olympic flame left Liverpool John Lennon Airport this morning, bound for Douglas on the Isle of Man. It travelled on the 'Fire Fly' - the chartered Olympic plane.

The torch is currently in Douglas. It will then head to:
- Laxey for 13.24
- Onchan for 14.38
- Ballasalla for 15.13
- Castletown for 15.30
Tomorrow the torch will leave the region for Northern Ireland, but it will be back in the North West at the end of June.
Olympic torch has landed in the Isle of Man
The plane carrying the torch has just touched down at the Isle of Man airport. The relay will begin in Douglas at 10.25, before heading to Laxey, Onchan, Ballasalla and Castletown. More details to follow.

Torch greeted by animals at Knowsley Safari Park
Olympic fever continues to grip our region. On the latest leg of the relay, the Olympic Torch left Bolton early this morning and headed for the seaside. Then it took in Knowsley safari park before being taken on a ferry across the Mersey.
And within the next hour it's due at Liverpool's Pier Head where a crowd of around 10,000 people are waiting!
