Firefighters battled through the night to bring the blaze under control.
Around 100 homes were evacuated with people moved to an emergency rest centre. This evening part of the damaged building is having to be demolished for safety reasons.

More than a hundred properties had to be evacuated, and while many people have been allowed back, a small number may have to spend a second night in temporary accomodation.

The blaze broke out at the industrial site at around 9.45pm.
Around 50 firefighters were called to the scene on Schofield Street as the flames spread across a number of units.
Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said a gas mains pipe in one of the properties then exploded forcing emergency workers to evacuated nearby properties as a precaution.
