Corrie's former bad boy Andrew Lancel speaks to Granada about playing the man behind the Beatles: Brian Epstein. A play about the Fab Four's manager opens tonight at the Epstein theatre.
Andrew says he was looking for something different and as a massive Beatles fan this was daunting but perfect.
Epstein: The Man Who Made The Beatles is the highly anticipated production about one of the world’s most successful music entrepreneurs, Brian Epstein.
Brian of course discovered the _Fab Four _at the legendary Cavern club in the city and took them on to global superstardom.
Andrew Lancel (Coronation Street, The Bill, Queen as Folk) will take the lead role of Brian Epstein.
The play forms part of Liverpool’s 50th Anniversary of The Beatles, at the Epstein Theatre named after Brian. The play opens tonight and runs until the 1st of December.
