A blind pensioner has started legal action against Lancashire Police after officers shot him with a taser after mistaking his white stick for a samurai sword.

A pensioner from Lancashire Tasered by police who thought his white stick was a samurai sword has started legal action. 63 year old Colin Farmer said he thought he was being attacked. Lancashire police shot him with 50,000 volts walking through Chorley in October. Keri Eldridge reports:
