Coroner tells jurors that Dale took anabolic steroids and other drugs. This led to contact with police and medics prior to the day he died.

Police were called to Dale's home after a neighbour heard noises and found water pouring from his flat. He was half naked and "agitated".

Dale told officers he'd taken a drug called "Mad Cat". His bathroom was badly damaged - hence the leak. Police called an ambulance.

Bodybuilder taser inquest begins in Kendal

The inquest into the death of a bodybuilder, who was tasered by police, has started in Kendal.

Dale Burns, from Barrow, died in August last year.

A jury has been sworn in at the inquest and the coroner said they alone will decide how he died.

The jury was told they will need to consider what, if any, bearing that systems and policies of "public bodies" had on Dale's death.
