Tribute for hit-and-run boy
Family and friends of a five-year-old boy who was killed by a hit and run driver ten years ago will mark his 16th birthday by releasing lanterns later.
Fresh appeal 10 years after hit and run
Sam Walker was hit and killed 10 years ago on Hardy Lane in Chorlton. He'd been out buying sweets with his mum and sister. Today would have been his 16th birthday.
Police are back out in the area and have parked a replica of the car that killed the 5 year old on the street in happened.
Officers hope it will jog people's memories and appeal to the driver to give himself up. A £20,000 reward has also been offered for information that leads to a conviction.
