Police are investigating a "suspicious fire" at one of Cheshire's best known nightclubs.
More than 50 firefighters spent the night at the scene at Panacea in Alderley Edge
Fire crews investigating what caused a fire at Panacea bar and restaurant in Alderley Edge.
Emergency services were called at 10.30pm on Tuesday night to London Road, Alderley Edge where around 50 firefighters tackled the blaze.
Cheshire Police say they're investigating what caused a fire at Panacea bar and restaurant in Alderley Edge.
A spokesperson asked for anyone with information about what happened to come forward.
"The premises which has been engulfed by the fire, is a bar and restaurant and it was closed when the fire broke out. There have been no reports of any injuries or evacuations of other premises at this time.
"Cheshire Fire and Rescue are in attendance and the fire is being contained to the area of the bar and restaurant.

"An investigation in to the cause of the fire is underway and Cheshire Police are appealing to anyone who may have any information concerning the incident to contact them on using the 101 number quoting incident number 925 of 12 March."

The blaze broke into the roof space and as of 5am on Wednesday, crews were still at the scene fighting the flames.
Cheshire fire service say crews wearing breathing gear were at the scene and were trying to stop the fire spreading to nearby buildings.
Cheshire police say no-one was reported to be inside the building at the time.
The Manchester Evening News is reporting that the venue, which is popular showbiz hangout, was going through a £3.2m refurbishment. It was also the scene of a previous fire in 2008, the newspaper's website says.
