Police are hunting a man who raped a woman in a gated alleyway in Altrincham early this morning.It is believed the 30-year-old had previously met her attacker outside a nightclub. He was described as wearing a dark pinstripe shirt black waistcoat, a pink tie and smart shoes.
He threw her to the floor and started to strangle her, when she pleaded with him he punched her hard in the face, knocking her unconscious. When she came to she raised the alarm. It is believed the offender ran off in the direction of Lloyd Street.
The victim suffered a cut to the back of the head. In addition to his distinctive clothes, the offender is described as white, about 25 years, 5ft 11in tall, medium build with short dark hair. High visibility patrols are now in the area to provide a reassuring presence.
