Heavy snowfall has once again caused widespread disruption to schools and transport in the North West.
Scores of schools were closed, mainly in Merseyside and Cheshire, while several major roads were blocked.
Thousands of children are at home today after heavy snow forced schools to close across the region.
The Met Office has issued an amber warning as the wintery weather spreads across the North West.
Police are warning driving conditions are hazardous with many roads closed including the Cat and Fiddle road in Derbyshire.
A portacabin has come off the back of a wagon on the M6 in Lancashire blocking two lanes. And in Cheshire, there are delays on the Runcorn Bridge. It's down to one lane each way after ice fell onto the carriageway.
The Highways Agency has put out extra gritters and traffic officers in a bid to stop the roads grinding to a halt.
