Saturday was a golden night for Coronation Street and its stars at the British Soap Awards.
They won eight of the 16 prizes on offer, including best soap and and best storyline. They were streets ahead of big rivals Eastenders, who only picked up one.

Coronations has swept the board at the British Soap Awards with 8 awards, including Best Soap. That's an accolade held by Eastenders since 2006. This year Corrie's Walford rivals took just one award - a special lifetime achievement for Adam Woodyatt, who plays Ian Beale.

Stars from Britain's favourite soaps have descended upon MediaCity UK for the British Soap Awards. It's the second time the ceremony has been held in the North West.
The stars of Coronation Street, Hollyoaks, Eastenders, Doctors and Emmerdale will put aside their betrayals, bombings and burials to celebrate their shows at the British Soap Awards 2013.
This year the event is back in the North West - it will be held at MediaCity UK in Salford. 'This Morning' host Philip Scholfield will once again host the ceremony.
The ceremony will be shown on ITV1 on 19th May at 8pm.
