Police seek public's help in tracing missing student

Detectives searching for a missing student from Merseyside are asking for witnesses to come forward. 19 year old Jason Fyles disappeared in Newcastle, where he is studying, last week. Officers are sure members of the public may hold vital clues as to his whereabouts.

"We are becoming increasingly concerned about Jason's welfare because of the length of time he has been missing. We are continuing to carry out extensive enquiries to trace his whereabouts, but we also need the public's help. We are appealing for anyone who thinks they may have seen Jason since last Thursday to contact us."

Police search for missing Southport student

Police in Newcastle have launched a search for a student from Southport who has gone missing. Jason Fyles, who is 19 is studying in the city. His family are appealing for him to get in touch.

"Jason, please get in touch. We love you very much and all we want is to hear your voice and know that you’re safe.

Please call us or call the police so that we know that you are alright.

Whatever it is that is troubling you, whatever has happened to upset you – please give us a chance to help you sort it out.

We would also ask Jason’s friends, or anyone who has seen him or has any information that could possibly help to find him, to get in touch with police.”
