An engine fault has grounded a Manchester Airport flight headed for the Dominican Republic.

The Boeing 767 developed an engine fault and returned to the stand, before getting airborne.

A Thomas Cook statement said: "emergency services attended, but at no time were passengers or crew at risk.

”We’d like to thank our customers for their patience during the delay to their flight, we will keep them up to date as we work hard to ensure they begin their holiday as soon as possible.”
