The two men accused of murdering Drummer Lee Rigby have been remanded in custody to appear for a plea and case management hearing at the Old Bailey on September 27.
Michael Adebolajo, who appeared to still have his left arm in a bandage after being shot by armed officers in the incident on May 22, sat flanked by two prison officers.
He is also accused of the attempted murder of two police officers and possession of a firearm with intent to cause others to believe that violence would be used.
Michael Adebowale, 22, was also flanked by two prison officers.
Both men spoke only to confirm their names.

A date for the two men accused of murdering soldier Lee Rigby to stand trial was set at the Old Bailey today.
Michael Adebolajo, 28, and Michael Adebowale, 22, appeared via videolink from separate rooms at Belmarsh prison in south east London.
The pair are accused of murdering Drummer Rigby outside Woolwich barracks and will stand trial on November 18.
Two men are due in court charged with the murder of a Manchester soldier. Drummer Lee Rigby from Middleton was killed in Woolwich last month.
Michael Adebolajo and Michael Adebowale will appear via videolink at the Old Bailey later.
