Two women have been "scarred for life" after being attacked by a dog as they walked near Blackpool beach. They were bitten by the Pit Bull type dog earlier this month. Police are trying to trace the dog's owner.

Police in Blackpool are trying to trace the owner of a dog which left two women seriously injured. They were attacked by the Bull Terrier type dog as they walked near Blackpool beach.

"Both ladies will be scarred for life as a result of the injuries they received and we are determined to trace the people responsible for this animal."
