– Trearddur Bay RNLI spokesman
"Due to the rising tide and rough seas it was extremely difficult for the lifeboat to reach the casualty. The lifeboat tried to veer down onto the rocks so the crew member could transfer the casualty onto the lifeboat but the rough seas made the manoeuvre very difficult. An RNLI crewmember decided to jump into the sea and swim to the rocks to assist the teenager until the lifeboat was able to get closer to the scene."
