Second man charged with Macclesfield murder

A second man has been charged with murder as part of an investigation into the death of 19-year-old Macclesfield man, Zain Sailsman.

Charles Beadell, 22, of Buckfast Close in Macclesfield will appear at Crewe Magistrates Court today, Monday 4 November.

Zain was found lying in the road in Bullocks Lane, Sutton, Macclesfield, with serious injuries on the evening of Wednesday 30 October. He was taken by ambulance to hospital, where he died a short time later.

A post mortem concluded the cause of death was a single stab wound.

As part of the investigation Ricky Jervis, 22, from Dale Crescent, Congleton appeared at Crewe Magistrates on Saturday 2 November 2013 charged with murder.

Two women aged 26 and 35 and a 23 year-old man were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender at the weekend and have since been bailed.

Two men aged 21 from Liverpool and Congleton remain on police bail pending further enquiries.

Police make three arrests over Macclesfield murder

Three people have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man was found lying in the road in Macclesfield.

Police were called to Bullocks Lane, Sutton at 6.43pm on Wednesday 30 October 2013, where a 19-year-old man was being treated by paramedics.

He was taken to hospital but sadly died.

His next of kin have been informed and a post mortem examination is due to take place later.

Three men, two aged 22 and one aged 21 are currently in police custody.

Macclesfield Neighbourhood Police Inspector Steve Griffiths said:

This is clearly a shocking incident for the local community, but I would like to reassure people that three men have been arrested and are currently in police custody.

There has been speculation in the community that the victim may have been involved in a hit and run but at this stage we do not believe this to be the case.

Detectives are following a number of lines of inquiry and at this stage do not believe this was a random attack.

Extra patrols are in the area for people to speak to if they have any concerns or information that may assist in this investigation.
