A post mortem's confirmed that a mother found dead along with her son in Wythenshawe died from stab wounds.
Police believe 86 year old Olwen Dohoney had been killed by her son Stephen who was found hanged at the house.

Neighbours discovered the bodies of Stephen Dohoney, 55, and his mother, Ethel, 86, at their home in Woodhouse Park, Wythenshawe, shortly before 12.30pm yesterday.
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said post-mortem results are expected later today.
Mrs Dohoney had reportedly been suffering from a number of ailments in recent years and her son was her carer.
Officers are not looking for anyone else in connection with the deaths, it is understood.

Police are investigating after the bodies of a man and woman were found at a house in Wythenshawe.
Police discovered the body of a 55-year-old man and an 86-year-old woman at the house on Saltdene Road in Woodhouse Park.

At this time we are making initial enquiries into the death of this man and woman and a post mortem is yet to take place.
The community will be understandably concerned therefore we do have extra patrols in the area to offer some reassurance.
A full investigation into the circumstances surrounding their deaths is now underway.
A post mortem is due to take place and a police cordon is currently in place on Saltdene Road while officers investigate.
