A couple are calling for pregnant women to be tested for a potentially lethal infection after the death of their baby.

Melissa and Andy Barclay from Lancaster lost their daughter Madison when she was just two days old. She'd developed an infection called Group B Strep, which then turned into meningitis.

They say lives would be saved if mothers were routinely tested.

A couple from Lancaster are calling for pregnant women to be tested for an infection called Group B strep after the death of their baby.

Melissa and Andy Barclay from Lancaster lost their daughter Madison when she was just two days old after the infection developed into meningitis.

The Barclay's have since raised thousands of pounds to buy equipment for the Neo-natal unit at Royal Preston Hospital as a thank you to staff who helped them.
