The well known journalist and broadcaster Ray Gosling, who came from Chester, has died in hospital.

He was seventy four.

Over the years he reported on hundreds of television and radio programmes.

In the 60s and 70s he presented North West regional programmes for Granada Television and was one of the best known faces in TV documentaries.

Chester born journalist and broadcaster Ray Gosling has died in hospital in Nottingham at the age of 74.

Over the years Gosling presented more than a hundred television documentaries, as well as several hundred radio documentaries. In the 1960s and 1970s he presented a North West regional programme for Granada TV and was one of the best known faces in television documentary programming.
