The 1,000,000th Jaguar Land Rover has rolled off the production line at the firm's factory in Halewood.

A director of a North West car maker hopes that the millionth car off its production line, will help beat cancer.

The unique Land Rover Evoque will be given to a cancer charity, and raffled off to raise funds for research into the disease.

It is the millionth Jaguar Land Rover made at the plant since Jag production began there in 2001.

Richard Else, Operations Director at the plant, says: "Over the past few years many of the families of my growing team have been impacted by various forms of cancer".

"This milestone vehicle, built with pride at Halewood, will help raise much needed funds to help eradicate this dreadful disease".
