Run for murdered officers

Hundreds of police officers across the North West, and beyond, have pounded streets and country lanes in memory of two fallen colleagues.

Police officers and their families, who ran in memory of fallen colleagues, have expressed their thanks for nationwide support.

They raised money for a memorial fund to murdered Greater Manchester PCs Nicola Hughes and Fiona Bone.

PC Hughes' father said he was delighted that thousands of people took part across the country.

Nicola's father, Bryn, led a run at Dovestone Reservoir in Saddleworth.
