A serial sex offender who was given day release from a life sentence went on to attack another victim.

An urgent review's been ordered into the case of Nicky Suddons - who was put behind bars for seven assaults on women in 2004.

The rapist from Manchester was described then as 'highly dangerous,' but last year he was moved to an open prison and later allowed out to gain work experience as a decorator.

A serial sex attacker from Manchester has been convicted of attempting to rape a woman while he was on day release from prison.

26 year old Nicky Suddons was serving a life sentence for 7 attacks.

He planned another assault while at an open prison in Lincolnshire. Then he assembled a so called 'rape kit' of gloves and a mask before attacking a woman in Grantham.

He'll be sentenced at a later date.
