An investigation is underway following the death of a boy, believed to be 16 years old after falling from a motorway bridge.
Police say at about 2am they were called to junction 21 of the M60 in Chadderton after reports someone was seen lying on the slip road. They found the body of the boy who was taken to hospital but died a short time later.
The motorway was closed for about two and a half hours while inquiries were made. There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances and the matter will be referred to the coroner.
