A mother who found out she was pregnant and had cancer, has paid tribute to Liverpool Women's Hospital for saving her life and that of her baby.

A mum who was diagnosed with cervical cancer just days after finding out she was pregnant is urging other women to get tested.

Diane Mullineux from the Wirral was 11-weeks pregnant when she had the cancerous tumour removed along with most of her cervix.

She has thanked doctors at the Liverpool Women's Hospital for carrying out the groundbreaking surgery and saving her life.

A mother who found out that she was pregnant and that she had cancer, all within a matter of days, has paid tribute to experts at Liverpool Women's Hospital for saving her life and that of her baby.

Diane was told she needed surgery to remove cervical cancer but there was a risk of miscarriage. The young mum had the surgery and then a hysterectomy immediately after giving birth to baby Nancy Rose.

Diane said "I am so grateful to Liverpool Women's.They gave me hope when I thought there wasn't any. Without them we wouldn't have Nancy now."
