The mother of a teenager kicked to death in a Lancashire park is returning to her daughter's school in Haslingden to highlight the effects of prejudice and hate crime. Sophie Lancaster was killed 7 years ago for dressing like a goth and simply being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Ever since her mother, Sylvia, has campaigned against prejudice and bullying and will launch a book called 'HATE' today inspired by the days events.

It's written by Alan Gibbons was so affected by the story, that he felt moved to write about it.
