More than 6,000 new homes are to set to be built in once rundown parts of Manchester.

Plans for 6000 new homes in run down parts of Manchester have been revealed as part of a £1bn deal.Manchester council today announced the 10-year agreement and Manchester City owners the Abu Dhabi United Group. But they need more investors over the next decade to make it a reality.

The first phase of the plan is to build at least 830 new homes in the Ancoats area of the city and New Islington.
