Skelmersdale community turns out to celebrate the life of little Millie

Hundreds of people in Skelmersdale turned out to pay a moving farewell to three-year-old Millie Rose Heaton, who died after suffering an aggressive form of cancer.

Millie Rose passed away from neuroblastoma on Wednesday evening. Her parents had raised more than £200,000 for her to be treated for the illness in Germany.

After hearing the sad news, many from her community turned out to release balloons to celebrate her brief life.
