Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus and using thermal image scanners have been working through the night at a railway engineering warehouse in Trafford Park after a blaze in a paint spray booth.
At its height there were 10 crews at the scene.
They managed to prevent the fire spreading which would have caused severe damage to the business.
“They had no idea where the fire was and the building was complex and full of smoke, but they quickly located the fire and extinguished it – preventing it from spreading throughout the building.
“Once crews had located the fire we had to check for any further signs of fire, which we did using thermal image scanners, and firefighters remained on the scene throughout the night ventilating the property."
“Due to the professionalism of the crews, the business hopes to be back up and running in the next couple of days.”
