Khan: he couldn't out-box me, but he caught me clean

Amir Khan believes opponent Saul "Canelo" Alvarez knew he couldn't out-box him in their middleweight title fight, but admits the Mexican champion knocked him out clean.

Khan stepped up two weight divisions to fight the big-hitting Canelo, and says he will step down to his natural welterweight.

And Khan told our sports correspondent Chris Hall that Canelo should be allowed to face Gennady Golovkin the current unified middleweight champion in a fight boxing fans have been crying out for.

Amir Khan has come face-to-face with his next opponent Canelo Alvarez in Las Vegas.

Khan has gone up two weight divisions to fight Alvarez, who's regarded as the best pound-for-pound boxer in the world.

But both men have been critical of Donald Trump, whose views on Muslims and Mexicans are dividing American politics.

Boxer Amir Khan urges support for refugees

Professional boxer Amir Khan has urged people to help support the thousands of refugees who are arriving in Europe everyday.

Speaking during his visit to a Syrian refugee camp on the Greek island of Lesbos the two-time former world champion said: "They have come here as refugees with nothing in their hand, with hardly any money, so we have to show our support and help these people."
