He died in Tenerife, aged 71. His funeral took place in his home town of Ashton-Under-Lyne.

His funeral is taking place at the Albion United Reform Church, Ashton-under-Lyne, at 1pm.
Bill, who played hen-pecked husband Jack Duckworth, died while on holiday in Tenerife. He was 71.
