Friends of a missing Middlesbrough man have released a photo him that was taken during their trip to Windermere.

Matthew Jordan was last seen in Bowness at 1:30am on Thursday, 27 March outside the Stag’s Inn.

The 20-year-old's friends have released the photo in the hope that someone may recognise him.

Matthew is described as 6ft tall, of medium build, with dark brown hair. He was last seen wearing a navy long sleeved shirt, jeans and brown boots.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Cumbria Police on 101 as soon as possible and ask for the duty sergeant at Windermere. Or you can call Missing People in confidence on 116 000.

Search continues for missing man

Search and rescue teams are resuming their search for a missing Middlesbrough man.

20-year-old Matthew Jordan was last seen at 1:30am on Thursday 27 March outside the Stag's Inn in Bowness.

Matthew is described as 5ft 10" with dark brown hair and medium build. He was last seen wearing a navy long sleeved shirt, jeans and brown boots.

Police are encouraging people in the Windermere and Bowness area to check outbuildings and sheds for signs of someone being there.
