Blackpool boxer gears up for world title fight

Blackpool boxer Brian Rose is in New York preparing for the fight of his life, he faces Demetrius Andrade this weekend. The American is defending his WBO Junior Middleweight World Title. Rose has been training at Ricky Hatton's old gym in Denton, Manchester.

Rose who has only lost once in 27 fights will be the outsider with Andrade defending the crown in his own country.

Blackpool hero British Light-Middle Weight champion Brian Rose is gearing up for an exciting fight night as he takes his latest step on the road to a world title shot.

He'll fight Canada's Joachim Alcine at the Winter Gardens for the vacant WBO Inter-Continental light middleweight title on Saturday.

Rose says he's ready to face the toughest test of his career.

Promoter Eddie Hearn says it's a chance for Rose to show what he's made of.
