The government has announced a £23 million cash boost for businesses in the region.
Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg says the money from the Regional Growth Fund. will be
shared between 7 businesses in the North West.

Liverpool One shopping centre says visitor numbers to the Boxing Day sales are up 18% on last year.
It says 90% of its stores have sales on and car park spaces were full by noon.
"Early indications have shown a promising start to the post-Christmas sales which is expected to lead to a strong period of trade well into the first week of January. If trade continues to this level we should see a week as busy as the 7 days preceding Christmas.”
