There are fears that some people in the North West will be facing Christmas without any food or heating if changes aren't made to the controversial new benefit Universal Credit.

Foodbanks in the North West have seen a huge increase in the number of people relying on their services.
New figures show that Merseyside and Manchester are two of the worst hit areas in the country, with around one person accessing a foodbank there every nine minutes.
