Police issue gang warning to young people

A film's been made to warn of the dangers of gang culture. 'Crossing the Line' features north west teenagers and shows the risks and consequences of getting involved in organised crime. Lancashire police and the West Lancashire Community Safety Partnership had the film made to engage with young people about the issue.

Police have arrested 21 people in raids on an international crime gang suspected of flooding Manchester with cocaine.

In a series of dawn raids officers seized a kilo of what they believe to be cocaine with a street value of £100,000, £30,000 in cash as well as two guns, a silencer and ammunition.

18 men and 3 women, many of them Albanian, have been arrested on suspicion of drugs, firearms and immigration offences.

The 17 warrants spread across Manchester, Salford, Trafford and North Wales came after an 8 month long investigation.

The Organised Crime Group we have targeted today lurks in our city's shadows, peddling their drugs and preying on a wide spectrum of people living and visiting the region, many of whom are vulnerable.
