Three care home workers have been jailed by a judge who said they abused elderly dementia sufferers for entertainment.
Their victims at Hillcroft nursing home near Lancaster were slapped, stamped on and pelted with bean bags.
Judge Michael Byrne said they went undetected by a weak and inadequate management.
Colleagues reported mistreatment in September 2011 but it was more than a year before arrests were made.
