A family from Manchester, say they are "hoping for the best" as hurricane Irma approaches their holiday accommodation in the US.
The Roberts family, from Middleton, flew out to Florida two weeks ago. They are due to return on Wednesday but they are concerned their return flight will be cancelled as airports in the state remain closed
The family are staying in a villa in Davenport, Polk County, near Orlando. They say they have been told to sit in a small box room away from any windows during the peak of the bad weather as Irma passes over central Florida.
A mother whose family are from Manchester has been caught up with her baby triplets in the devastating hurricanes that have hit the Caribbean.
Their relatives back here in the North West spent anxious hours hoping they were safe.
