Greater Manchester Police have said there are no immediate plans to search Saddleworth Moor, near Manchester, where he and Myra Hindley buried four of their five victims.
Winnie Johnson's lawyer, John Ainley, has said he is "sceptical" about the apparent revelation of a letter from Ian Brady:
– JOHN AINLEY, WINNIE JOHNSON'S LAWYERI am sceptical about this information. It is clear the police need to carry out further investigations and it will be interesting to see what they find.
Keith's Bennett's mother Winnie Johnson has begged Brady to allow her to lay her son to rest.
Ms Johnson, aged 79, who is in hospital with cancer, wrote a heartfelt letter to Brady in which she said:
"If you have got it in your heart to tell me where Keith is, it would end the trouble I have had for 47 years. I would like him found and buried before anything happens to me."

Ms Johnson, aged 79, who is in hospital with cancer wrote a heartfelt letter to Brady in which she said:

Keith Bennett was snatched on June 16 1964 after he left home to visit his grandmother.
His mother Winnie Johnson has always wanted to know where her son was buried.
